Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

Dr. Monterroso found her first love, behavior analysis, at the University of Florida where she specialized working with children with behavioral concerns. With this grew MIS therapy, a collaborative clinic utilizing an integrative approach to supporting individuals and families.

What is important to you, for your client to feel, when working with you?

For me, I feel it's important for my clients to feel seen and heard. I work to empower them toward the success that is already within them.

Who do you believe you are for a client as they manage their problems?

I feel my role as a therapist is to support and help identify patterns and influences in people's lives.

What drives your passion for seeing clients?

My passion is driven by my desire to be different. The type of support person that influences changes that people felt were impossible at some point.

How do you believe clients "get better"?

I believe clients get better by identifying their influence and pulling from their own strengths and resources they may not have been aware of previously.

"Your feeling do not dictate your reality, they just try to make sense of them." - Dr. Daisy
